A 70 gallon or larger aquarium is necessary to provide plenty of swimming room. It is an excellent scavenger and are considered to be the janitors in aquariums. The Tomini Tang will constantly pick at the live rock and glass looking for algae.
It is moderately easy to care for, and is considered reef safe that can be housed with corals and small invertebrates. Although Tangfish will eat meaty foods along with the other fish in the aquarium, it is important that they are offered plenty of marine based seaweed and algae.
