Gobies

The Goby family is one of the largest families of marine fishes, having over 2,000 known species. Gobies are relatively small fish, usually reaching three inches in captivity and are a great addition to the marine tank. They need an abundance of rockwork and the proper sandy substrate to enable burrowing and to allow sand sifting gobies to take in small particles of food.
All gobies live on or very near the bottom. So, you won't likely see one swimming around in the upper parts of your aquarium too often, unless their after some sort of food. Gobies can be kept together as long as they are different kinds or bonded pairs and some goby fish have a symbiotic relationship with pistol shrimp.
They are known to jump out of open aquariums, so a well-sealed lid is a necessity for keeping gobies. If you are looking for a unique species to add to your marine tank, consider introducing a species of goby!
